EQUALITY

The basic concept of EQUALITY has to be discussed before entering into the discussion of macro-economic policies. As macro-economic policy itself is related to the social, political, cultural and economic areas of life.

The word equality originated from the “equal” (Middle English equalite,)

In a society bound by the law of the land,  every individual is entitled  by equality before the law, (which means equality under the law, equality in the eyes of the law, or legal equality) It  is one of the most important foundation of justice system. This principle states that all people are equally subject to the same laws of justice in the due process of law.  Although legality covers diverse and complex issues of equality, fairness, justice, good conscience, and administration and so on, now we consider only the concept of equality means that all are equal before the law.

This universally considered principle is accepted by all the countries as it is from
Article 7 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It states that "All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law." Thus, the law, judges, and the entire administration system must treat everyone equally before the law regardless of their caste, race, religion, gender, nationality, color, ethnicity, disability, or other characteristics, without privilege, discrimination, or bias.  This principle is particularly important to the minorities and to the poor.
